Blackstone Indonesia and Sky Internasional a self-claimed digital strategic marketing agency in Indonesia with premium services in interactive communications, digital strategy, brand identity, social media and online advertising are to be considered as digital fraud masterminds and to be the leaders of an organization with only one goal, to cheat clients solely to enrich themselves with personal benefits and to fund their luxury lifestyles.

Retail News received a lot of complaints from several Blackstone Indonesia customers, basically complaining about the same kind of practices. Retail News took the lead in this investigation and took a deeper dive into this matter. After seeing all proof we are committed to send out a warning to all startups and companies in Indonesia. Our advise is not to engage in any partnership with the two mentioned companies. It’s very likely you will lose money, time and efforts in the spiderweb these companies have build out.

The “modus-operandi” is usually the same ; they issue invoices without tax and ask clients to wire money to a variety of bank accounts. All invoices appear to start with #1 for each clients and one of the bank accounts always coming back is from Aldino Ozky, Bank Central Asia with bank (BCA), Account No. 920000223. They use this bank account to wire company money to and to avoid paying taxes, neither issuing any tax receipts.

After a company wires the first retainer, Blackstone shows you their digital dashboard which has all sorts of numbers on page views and impressions and gorgeous graphs. It looks like you’ll have access to loads of information about your marketing. Which in theory is a good idea… The only problem with every one of these fancy dashboards we’ve seen is they provide all sorts of information which is of no use to the business of client and they sell 0. While they charge you for a variety of things, simply to run out your budgets.

Aldi Sky Wungkana, self-esteemed CEO of both companies has an explanation for everything, but not for all above topics he’s writing up ; also not even why the money of the company is wired without tax straight into an employees bank account.

Felix Valentino is also a member of their league, he never picks up the phone when you try to call him ; uses fake whatsapp profiles and he’s to be considered as the the email writer to inform customers that their money is litterally gone. Done and dusted, simply call him the excuse guy.

A random overview of what else they are practicing:

# PPC fraud with high bounce rates and non-targeted traffic.

# sending bot traffic to your website and charging high click CPCs for this ;

# buying FB engagement on non-legal website and sending it over to your social media channels basically ruining everything you have build up ;

# 0 to none connection with big newspapers, but charging the same rates to publish content on shitty websites claiming they offer premium PR services

In regards to the proof of all statements made above, readers, the police and/or any other governemental institution can contact Retail News to received all proof. We have bundled all complaints from startups and customers. None of the phone numbers we called were available for any comments. Whatsapp groups dissolved and no response on email.

A police case is about to be filed as well as a court case to stop these gentlemen from doing what they are doing. Companies are warned! The tax authorities received complaints as well and confirmed they have started an investigation.

A mattress with technology from NASA is finally entering the Indonesian market. Initially, memory foam used for a mattress was developed by a research center owned by the United States Space Agency (NASA). Making memory foam itself was intended to improve the safety of the spacecraft bearing. NASA found a great way to absorb some of the pressure of gravity found on astronauts that glide into space. For that, they needed to make a special foam that could deal with a sensitivity to temperature with an open cell structure. In other words, Memory Foam was intended as a shock absorber or as complete shock retaining material.

Sleeping on a comfortable and premium mattress is everyone’s desire when they return home after a long working day. A Belgian technology and lifestyle company, Kingaru Sleep, introduced Premium Foam Mattresses in Indonesia and was recently awarded with the “Best Choice Foam Mattress 2018 Award” based on consumer voting results from Indonesian Consumers Association (CSAI).

The Kingaru sleep products entering the Indonesian market don’t use springs anymore, but are made from a Latex Feel composition and an advanced Memory Foam Layering technology. A mattress with this advanced technology is very popular today in Indonesia due to many experts claiming that it improves the sleep quality and our physical recovery overnight.

“Kingaru’s mattress is perfected for consumers who want to finally enjoy premium and luxurious sleep comfort.”  This premium mattress is specially designed so that luxury and comfort can be felt by everyone. The mattress can already be purchased starting from 5 million rupiahs through online ordering. “Kingaru’s mattresses are designed to fit everyones needs and likes. It is perfect for individuals, young couples, parents and children “, says a Kingaru who targets one million people and families in Indonesia to offer the pleasure of sleeping on a comfortable, luxurious and sophisticated mattress. The dog days are over Kingaru added, now we offer everyone access to a mattress that finally delivers upon its promises. Together with our specially designed knock-down bed frames and well crafted pillow line we can be considered as the first complete online sleep brand.

Currently, Kingaru mattresses are in great demand by Indonesian consumers who want to experience sleeping just like in a 5-star hotel. Premium foam mattress that usually can only be owned starting at twenty million rupiah elsewhere, are now offered by Kingaru at affordable prices. A Kingaru mattress can be purchased starting as low as 5 millions rupiah. Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, bank transfer, over the counter or cash payment (COD) in place after the goods received by consumers. Even monthly installments are available, so they offer stretched payments over 12 months.

“Due to great demand, the next batch of Kingaru Mattresses will be available again within 1-2 weeks. For customers who have made the order yet, or who want to order today, Kingaru Sleep offers 2 complimentary pillows to all fans for any delay caused by the overwhelming wave of orders. Kingaru’s mattresses, bed frames and pillows will start shipping to consumers again by the end of March 2018,” said Imelda, spokeswoman in Indonesia.

Kingaru Sleep products can be purchased online at www.kingarusleep.co.id and the products come with a next-day delivery, even same day delivery if ordered before 11AM (Jakarta). Kingaru Sleep provides an additional 100 days of free sleep with a money back guarantee in the unlikely event the consumer is not satisfied. The quality of Kingaru’s mattress is guaranteed for 10 years.

An Indonesian university whose ban on niqab face veils made global headlines has reversed the policy following criticism that it trampled on personal choice.
Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in Indonesia’s cultural capital Yogyakarta issued the edict last week to more than three dozen niqab-wearing students — and warned they could be expelled for non-compliance.

The school, which has about 10,000 students, had said the now-cancelled rule was aimed at countering religious extremism in the world’s biggest Muslim majority country.

“The guidance concerning students using a face veil will be revoked in order to maintain an academic climate that is conducive to fairness,” said a statement issued by the university at the weekend.
Backers of the new rules said wearing the full veil with a small slit for the eyes was not a religious obligation, but critics saw the anti-niqab appeal as impinging on individual rights.
Another school in Yogyakarta, Ahmad Dahlan University, has also urged students not to wear the niqab — without penalty for non-compliance — while several Indonesian universities have issued niqab bans in the past.

Although niqabs are common in ultra-conservative Saudi Arabia and some other Gulf states, they’re rare in secular Indonesia, where around 90 per cent of its 260 million people have traditionally followed a moderate form of Islam, and are often seen as an unwelcome Arab export.

Swedish flatpack furniture maker IKEA plans to open a second store in Indonesia in Cakung, East Jakarta.

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that he met with IKEA Indonesia director Patrick Lindvall and the Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia Johanna Brismar Skoog on Friday morning to discuss the expansion plans.

“I emphasized to them that they should follow the regulations first and foremost. I also wanted them to make sure the employees are Indonesians, especially Jakartans,” said Anies, adding that around 1,400 workers would be needed to construct the building, while approximately 400 employees would be needed for daily operations.

IKEA’s only store in Indonesia is located in Tangerang, Banten, with three distribution points in Sentul, Bekasi and Surabaya.

According to Anies, construction would begin after the building permit was issued, with the location still being measured by the National Land Agency (BPN).

Anies also said that the discussion covered partnerships with Nordic countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

“Representatives from the four countries will visit us on April 26, when we will discuss matters concerning Jakarta, such as infrastructure, education, family prosperity, garbage management and the like,” he said

JD.id, the local unit of JD.com, the largest online and offline Chinese retailer, plans to build around three to four warehouses across the country this year in order to provide more efficient services to its customers.

“Our focus is now adding more warehouses because it will cut the delivery time [of our parcels]. It will enable us to offer better pricing and service,” Teddy Arifianto, the company’s head of corporate communications and public affairs, told reporters on Thursday.

He said the opening of new warehouses would help absorb more local talent and trigger business activities in regions where the buildings were located. Currently, JD.id employs more than 1,400 people, with the majority of them working in its warehouses and logistics unit.

The company, formally PT Jingdong Indonesia Pertama, already had five warehouses in Jakarta, Surabaya in East Java, Pontianak in East Kalimantan, Medan in North Sumatra and Makassar in South Sulawesi.

Teddy said the company was considering opening a warehouse in Papua in the future to cater to growing demand there, but it had yet to set a definite time for the establishment.

JD.com corporate vice president Gloria Li said Indonesia, with its growing young population, offered big potential for e-commerce businesses, of which penetration remained under 3 percent, far lower than 18 percent seen in China.

“Young people nowadays tend to fulfill their needs through the internet, either for shopping or entertainment. We see that there is high potential in this sector,” she said.

It’s a fact. A good night’s sleep often depends on using the right pillow for you. But choosing a pillow can also be a nightmare. So now, Kingaru Sleep, has come up with a new way to help you find the pillow of your dreams with the launch of 3 different pillows.

Research shows that sleeping with pillows that are too high or too low can reduce sleep quality by causing shoulder, back and neck pain or discomfort and leading to restless sleep, while a pillow that gives correct neck support can yield a more refreshing slumber.

Imelda says: “We spend a third of our lives asleep and two thirds of us are struggling to get a good night’s sleep.” “By making some simple changes you can transform the quality of your sleep.”

Kingaru Sleep‘s range includes: dacron, microfiber and nanofiber pillows – ideal if you sleep on your side, for neck and posture problems; for back and front sleepers and for those of you who just need a pillow topper (kids) the Dacron pillow will fit best – perfect for those needing a larger pillow and may also help alleviate snoring; the Bolster designed for pregnancy and back pain; More products are being added to the pillow range later this year.

All products in the range boast quality fabric and fillings for supreme softness and to help provide your very own perfect sleeping environment. The pillows are machine washable, too, making them easy to care for.

In an effort to expand the aviation network and to provide easy access, as well as to support the increasing tourist visit to the eastern corner of Indonesia, the national carrier Garuda Indonesia on March 10, 2018 is going to serve the Jakarta-Sorong return flight.

Director of Marketing & IT at Garuda Indonesia Nina Sulistyowati said the Jakarta-Sorong return flight will be serviced daily by Boeing 737-800NG aircraft with 162 seats. The Jakarta-Sorong flight complements previously serve Makassar-Sorong, Manado-Sorong and Ambon-Sorong flight routes.

“The Jakarta-Sorong return flight will be serviced once a day using a B737-800NG type aircraft with a capacity of 162 seats (12 seats of business class and 150 of economy class),” Nina said in a press release on Sunday (3/4/2018).

According to Nina, with the service of Jakarta-Sorong return flight it certainly will make it easier for both foreign countries and domestic tourists to be able to reach directly the maritime tourism area Raja Ampat which is already very famous in the world.

“Sorong City is the sixth city in Papua Province that we serve after Biak, Jayapura, Timika, Merauke and Manokwari. We hope that with the choice of routes to various cities in Papua it will further stimulate and improve the local economy,” explained Nina.

In addition to Raja Ampat tourism object, geographically the city of Sorong is very strategic because it is the largest city in West Papua region and also an industrial and trading city.

Global coal prices are expected to remain healthy throughout 2018 owing to stable demand from China and increasing consumption in India, says the World Coal Association (WCA).

WCA chief executive Benjamin Sporton projected that demand from China would continue to be reasonably strong this year, despite the country’s plan to implement a huge gasification program for households and industries to reduce its dependence on coal.

Furthermore, he said India would also increase its coal imports amid soaring demand from its power generation sector and lower-than-expected domestic production.

“India is not in a shortage situation, but it is running very closely behind it, and that’s really what has driven coal exports into India, and a good chunk of that is coming from Indonesia,” Benjamin told recently.

The price of Asian benchmark Newcastle thermal coal had climbed to US$106.78 per ton in January after falling to as low as $74.52 per ton in May last year.

“It’s really the supply constraint that sent the price to above $100 per ton over the last year, […] and I would still expect it to be somewhere in that ballpark for most of this year,” Benjamin said.

The Indonesian government has limited the country’s coal production in 2018 at a maximum level of 485 million tons, 25 percent of which will be allocated for the domestic market.

Within the first two months of 2017, Indonesia’s coal production reached 28.07 million tons, 15.6 million tons of which were absorbed by the domestic market.

Central Statistics Agency (BPS) will release general overview data or research on e-commerce in Indonesia. BPS Head Suhariyanto said the research is still underway by involving the users.

“Wait until March, it is still being collected. The point is that e-commerce users are very enthusiastic to participate,” he said at the Book Launching of Creative Economic Statistics on Tuesday, February 27.

According to Suhariyanto, the enthusiasm is also due to the data which will be useful for the players in the industry, not only for the government.

Suhariyanto added, until now, Indonesia does not have the exact data associated with e-commerce. In fact, the data is needed to read the shift of consumers’ preferences, products which purchased online, until the possibility of other shift that needs to be anticipated.

He said that it will affect the economy which is leading to the digital economy.

Suhariyanto said the data collected from the e-commerce users through the marketplace platform has not included the trading or sales on social media.
